Sissel Sings in Two Duets with Bryn Terfel

Sissel has recorded two duets with Bryn Terfel on his new album with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, recorded in the famed Salt Lake Tabernacle in Salt Lake City.

Sissel sings on track 5, "Shall We Gather At The River" and on track 18 "Give Me My Song."  The latter composed by Benny Andersson of ABBA.

The album cover shows Bryn Terfel standing by the Great Salt Lake, which is 15 miles from Salt Lake City.

Sissel Marries!

Church bells rang in secret for Sissel Tuesday, 13. August, when she tied the knot with one of Norway's leading tax experts, Ernst Ravnaas.

The couple were married Tuesday in a simple ceremony at Hov church. There were no guests present during the wedding ceremony.

The couple had, however, a banquet on Saturday at the farm they own in Hov, where a few friends, witnesses and family were present.

Her husband, southern Norwegian Ernst Ravnaas, is best known as Erik Solér's partner in Start Football Club, from 2002 to 2008. The highlight was Start's series silver in 2005. Economically, however, it was a disaster and the two threw in the towel in 2008.

Ravnaas is now a partner with the firm Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is one of the foremost experts on tax and assists several of Norway's wealthy with tax advice.

Kyrkjebø and Ravnaas currently reside at Frogner in Oslo, but spend a lot of time on their farm at Hov, Søndreland.

In December, Sissel will hold Christmas concerts in Bergen's Grieg Hall.
